Otari-Wilton's Bush is an internationally significant native botanic garden managed by Wellington City Council with active support from the Trust. Located just 5 km from the Wellington CBD, Otari is New Zealand's only public botanic garden dedicated solely to our unique flora.

WHAT WE DO AT
OTARI-WILTON'S BUSH TRUST

We are a charitable Trust set up to support activities at this unique bush and forest reserve. Our 400 members, of whom over 100 are active regularly at Otari, are key to its success and development:

• volunteering in a variety of roles from guiding and hosting to pest control, seed collection and propagation
• advocating for native plant conservation in the Wellington Region and nationally
• educating the community on native plants and ecosystems
• responding to Council plans affecting Otari.
